Teaching Innovation Grant 2013 – 2014 Approved!

I was awarded a Teaching Innovation Grant (2013 – 2014) by the University of Tampa!

The purpose of the grant is to promote innovative practice in teaching that will enhance instruction and make it more effective and efficient. This grants are given to those that want to “improve the effectiveness of their teaching.” Ideally, the focus is on enhancing the learning experience of the students. I am using the grant to implement an innovative approach to online discussion forums. Based on the feedback of the students and listening to their comments regarding discussion boards, I want to take a different approach with the Spring 2014 classes. I also want to use part of the grant to provide them with the equipment necessary to properly participate in the class.

More details will be posted once the Spring 2014 semester starts!
